Welcome to the Fenella Jane Miller website where you can find out about me and my books. At the moment I live in an ancient cottage in acres of Essex woodland that I call unspoilt and others call an untamed wilderness. Zoƫ, a Border collie and Tigger, an arthritic cat, share this rural idyll, and, of course, so does my husband.
Over the years I have worked as a nanny, a secretary, a cleaner, a restaurateur, an hotelier, a Secondary and Primary teacher but am now, finally, a writer.
Throughout the years I never doubted that I would eventually become a published writer. My cupboard gradually filled with half-written books, ideas and unfinished stories. I have finally achieved my dream.
I write because I have to, I would do it anyway, but knowing that now other people will be able to read my stories makes all the angst and scribbling worth while.
I have six hardbacks published by Robert Hale and four Large Print versions out by Thorpe.
I also had a novella for D C Thomson, My Weekly Story Collection, released in 2006 and a second, A JOURNEY TO LOVE (A Country Mouse)came out in July 2007. A LP version of THE RETURN OF LORD RIVENHALL, my first novella, came out last July as well. THE COUNTRY MOUSE, is released by Linford Roance, LP, in April 2008.
A DANGEROUS DECEPTION,my third novella is due to be published this year in September and a fourth, THE RELUCTANT BRIDE, in 2009.
I sold two more books to Robert Hale last summer- A DEBT OF HONOUR - set in Dedham, famous for being the stamping ground of the artist John Constable. This comes out in February 2008. The seventh book for Robert Hale - THE HOUSE PARTY- will be released in July of 2008.
It seems incredible that I have achieved so much in less than two and a half years.
I have finished my second WW2 saga and am now looking for an agent to place it for me. LIVING WITH LIES, opens in 1938, in India, and ends in England in 1960; I used my mother's memoires as the basis for Part One of this book.
Don't forget all my books can be borrowed from your local library if you live in the UK and bought from Amazon everywhere else.
www.halebooks.com - now sell all their titles direct and don't charge for postage either.
A DEBT OF HONOUR, set in John Constable county, Dedham, Essex, will also be available from www.regencyreads.com at the end of March 2008.
Look though my site to find out more about my books.
